Fishing flies are made out of natural feathers and furs and a variety of synthetic materials. When combined with a hook, these materials imitate insects that fish like to eat. Flies work especially well attracting fish that feed on the surface of the water like trout. A fish will likely bite on a fly that mimics the type of insects that are naturally abundant, so look around the river or lake where you are going to fish. What kind of bugs do you see?
