Brown Trout are a species of trout that was brought over to North America from Europe hundreds of years ago. They are, therefore, not native to any stream in the United States. Brown trout are widespread, though, and some have established wild, reproducing populations in North American waters. Many people enjoy fishing for brown trout, which can grow to be quite large and have a high tolerance for warmer water.
